Celebs I Wish To Meet in Person

Please note that many “celebs” mentioned are tech celebs and therefore will only be known by the smart/better half of the tech community out there, so yea either google them or ignore it, but inb4 all the who the fuck is that crap, I figured I would say that.

This list is not in order yet, nor is it complete, eventually it will be in order and complete, but this is just a really rough draft, and it is possible over time before the final version more people will be added. Not everyone has commentary, eventually everyone will, and haha some of the commentary will become more intelligent over time too. And finally the final draft of this will have the names being a different color than the commentary on the person.

ATM I do not have the time/energy to stress the really, really important people, but I wish I did, b/c IDK I would hope it would say something about me, haha something good, but either way here’s my list …

1. Veronica Belmont (OMG! if you don’t know now, you will never know! block can suck it! I guess this is just something that can’t be explained, she can not be explained, and my draw to her can’t be explained. Also yea she is certainly #1 on my list. I would give almost anything to meet her, not sure what happens once I do, but holy shit!)

diana agron (I must know for certain if she is human or an angel, haha lame, but half serious here, never seen any woman light up as much as she does, even through the fuckin’ TV she gives off the most amazing vibe ever! yea call me insane if you wish, but I know what I am talking about! that said I would hate for this to all be ruined in person, but I hardly doubt it would be, unless of course I stared at her too intensely and perhaps drooled all over her as well, but otherwise my bet is that it would go really well)

danica mckellar (if you know anything about her at all, then well yea that pretty much says everything, and if you don’t, shame on you, and go get learned!)

gordon ramsey (umm I do not have the words right now, but DAMN! he is certainly not a bastard as he is depicted in quick commercials for his shows, that said he did cheat on his wife and I will never get over that, but still he tops my list of people to meet, easily top 10, perhaps even 5)

katy perry (and then I wish to hug her all day long, preferably with my clothes off, but I will take what I can get, OMG she is like the perfect medicine, she is vicodin in human form, and OMG do I wish to swallow her! ;-)

david wright (man crush? haha but yea I don’t need a reason! he’s a lovely man =)

ellen degeneres (just seeing her brings me joy, but her comedy is amazing, and like IDK, I just love this woman, top 10 as well for people I wish to meet!)

Alica Keys (brilliant woman, brilliant artist)

kevin rose (again! and I need alone time with the man, LMFAO, not for those reasons, eeewww, although a longer hug would be great, hmm yea I mean come on this guy is like so much to me, him and leo, but more so him b/c he was near my age, he is 50% of the reason I got into tech, leo another 25% and my cousin the other 25%)

stephanie chu (again! but this time like IDK I wish I could converse with her and hug her and OMG, you have no clue!)

cassie steele (she wouldn’t like me, but I still wish to sleep in a sleeping bag with her!)

jason calicanis (say what you will about the guy, but he is brilliant, and has been an inspiration to me, there was a time I hated his guts too, but I am over that, still disagree with some of his umm words/practices, but overall I truly respect and admire him)

JLH (she is sort of losing her hottness, but damn I have always felt so umm I suppose close to her)

mandy moore (omg do I love this woman!)

Leo Laporte (wow that would be an honor! he means so much to me, I have 1 issue with him, no 2, but I suppose this is not the place for airing those issues)

patrick norton

donald trump (call me stupid/crazy, IDC, I like the bastard!)

Jessica Alba (while I would most certainly die, there are so many reasons to meet her besides touching extreme hotness … being serious)

emmy rossum (although almost not good enough to be in her presense)

bill gates (eh, haha)

steve frickin’ jobs (wow what a love/hate relationship I have with him, and haha boy would he hate my guts, but the guy, although maybe a little crazy, is frickin’ brilliant, in so many ways. I have soooooo much respect for him!)

alton brown (hello food frickin’ genius!)

will smith (perhaps my all time favorite actor, IDK)

harry connick jr. (just seems like a frickin’ incredible human being, super awesome, nice, and talented, and helpful and if he is anything close to the light I see him in, I would be honored to meet him in person!)

craig ferguson (simply put anyone who makes me laugh like he does is worth meeting IMO, but honestly the fact he is so comfortable saying & doing the shit he does, well I actually find it admirable as well)

dane cook (while he needs more material, he is pretty damn cool w/ most his fans & he thinks like me, so yea)

kevin smith (this would either go really well, or really bad, as people, what we both think and do, hmm like so agreeable and disagreeable on such extremes it is crazy, but surely he is an incredibly interesting man)

barack obama (ask me why in 7 more years, perhaps 12, but yea only president I wish to meet, perhaps only to force him to read books to me, haha or perhaps not)

morgan webb (sob b4 I die please, just think about it, haha OMG I met morgan webb, just to be able to say that, her and her stupid husband, arrrggg, anyway I will meet her whenever, but b4 she loses all her looks would be cool too)

alison haislip (God is she fun! LMAO ;-)

Nikole Zivalich (idk possibly we would be like best friends, or perhaps not, I feel like I have known her way before The Game Show {seriously where the hell is she from?} and I love that she is strongly opinionated, hmm IDK confusing woman)

terri hatcher (well she was my first celeb crush ever I believe, that is reason enough for me)

danny devito

john travolta

michael dell (so I can shake his hand, and then scream at him, and then ask him 4000 questions)

robin williams

vince vaughn (although IDK, he hates technology/computers for one thing, IDK how this would actually go, but I just think there is almost no-one better (as far as men go) to watch on screen in a movie, except michael cera and will smith)

carrie underwood

roger chang (interest man, would love to pick his brain for hours)

molly wood (of all women in tech, if we put looks aside and other things that may influence me, than perhaps of the more famous women in tech she is my favorite and the smartest out there. the way she thinks and breaks things down is just brilliant, and sometimes hilarious. She sees shit how it should be seen, calls it like it is, and sooooo much respect for her. If I was looking for a woman in tech opinion about something, I would be a moron not to go to her first)

tom merrit

emma watson

gwen stefani (b/c she is a super creative type & mind and during the no doubt years her as a person & artist in the true meaning of the word, just blew me away)

rachael ray (I have loved this woman for so long, but lately confused about her, but still would love to meet her)

rachel bilson (fucking BILSON! hello)

rachel mcadams (one of the most gorgeous human beings ever, and hmm yea I just have to know her real personality, I would guess it is amazing! but I suppose one could never know for sure, but this is why I must meet her)

dan trachenberg (lalalala he acts and thinks like me sometimes, he is a super Jew, and he’s a super geek, and hmm, yea OMG I would hang with him forever! and that is coming from a guy who dislikes 99% of men!)

jeff cannata (well nothing to fascinating about this man, sorry, but I respect him so much as he is the brains and glue of the entire The Totally Rad Show, & while I suppose that is argueable, I umm know I am correct in that statement, so yea how could I not wish to meet him)

michele trachenberg (she seems super cool, and like a fun time)

mariah carey (not sure how this would go, but yea I suppose I really would want to shake her hand if I had the chance)

celine dion (eh wish she wasn’t so weird, but OMG her music, IDK, either way it would be an honor)

barbra streisand (insane talent must be met!)

conan obrien

evangiline lily (omg is this like the coolest woman ever! one of the few women on this list that I wish to be glued to, and haha not entirely for sexual reasons, in fact very little for sexual reasons with silly lily, and that says a lot considering how good looking she is)

amanda bynes (been obsessed with her forever, in her much later years she has become even more interesting/fascinating, would love to hang out with her for at least an entire day)

Matt Damon (haha soooooo many reasons I wish to meet him, won’t get into them, but I will say I am his biggest male fan for I am the only person out there not under appreciating him, LMFAO)

lea michele (although she would probably eat me alive, wait nothing bad about that, but honestly not sure how this would go, but I am so drawn to everything about her, so fucking talented and interesting. but if she is a bitch or was a bitch to me, OMG my heart would break, so just fear meeting her as well, it would be like finding out Santa is not real)

Luria Petrucci aka Cali Lewis

Martin Scorsese (OMG do I love this man, seen a few of his movies, like 5 perhaps, and loved them of course, but forget his movies, this is really about him as a person, what he believes, what he has done, how he thinks, OMG just love him, would be an honor for like 400 different reasons)

Robert De Niro

steven spielberg (I have many thoughts about this man, but ATM can’t share them)

josh groban

eminem (I feel as if I have to justify this, but IDK if I have the words to)

tom green (wow I sort of grew up with him, sometimes, not all the time he thinks like I do, he has made me laugh so much, and while he is super fucked up and strange, I really do have respect for him for some odd reason. That respect grew more when I saw how real of a person he was when he was setting up his own TV station from his house online, and would connect with the chat room to ask for advice/help and to just literally chat with people, it was a really awesome experience. HAHA he has done a few things I disagree with, but yea overall IDK there is just a place in my mind & heart for this man, as crazy as that is)

emma roberts

Scott Johnson

Neha Tiwari

Adam Sessler

chris hardwick

nikki reed (gorgeous brilliant fucking {Jewish, haha} woman!)

alyson hannigan (brings me joy, seems like she would be super cool IRL)

Jim Parsons (anyone who plays a character so fucking well, brilliantly, well I just have to meet to see if said person IRL is even close to being as hmm amazing as said character, if even in different ways)

kevin pereria (hello cable’s television darling, but hmm IDK meeting cool awesome people is a good idea, actually besides that, his sense of humor as well)

dave randolph (another genius, just wish to pick his brain)

cady mcclain (God do I love this woman!)

vanessa lengies (IDK something about this woman! been saying this since American Dreams, and well every time I see her she sends sparks through me)

tony danza (have always loved this man, IDK if said love is misplaced though, I suppose meeting him would be the only way to find out)

natalie portman (DUH!)

A rant about Alien movies & special abilities

I must say 2 of the following concepts are just not frickin’ done well enough for my liking in movies or television
I will start off with all alien movies fail, hell plenty I enjoy, Independence Day, Mars Attacks, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Cocoon, Men In Black (great totally singing that song forever now!) and of course Star Wars & Star Trek
District 9 came closer to doing it right, but also failed
I should have originally wrote this when the idea popped into my head, b/c now I can not state why they fail, but OMG do they ever fail
Steven Hawking said a few things recently that really got my mind going on this subject matter. What got it going even more than that was the people who replied to what he said.
But on an intellectual level and certainly on a psychology level, we didn’t explain shit well enough, demonstrate it in the movies/tv or just explore other scenarios instead of WE MUST DESTROY ALL!
(again Distract 9 did really well IMO of changing shit up a lot)
and of course the aliens in Star Wars and Star Trek do not wish to destroy all things/humans.
IDK where I am going with this, and I wish I did, b/c at the time it came into my head, it was pure gold, but that was last night, and I was so dead (tired) I literally couldn’t move.
anyway
my 2nd topic is people with special abilities, let’s say can sense/see/tell the future (if only for certain very random sporadic things and not very far into it either) but that is all besides the point, haha
but yea so showing a person with a special ability, and no-one really ever examined deep enough in movies/television how they would be treated socially
(more than welcome to give recommendations of movies/tv shows where you think they have in the comments section, and DON’T SAY HEROES! b/c that is B/S answer)
I just mean no-one explores deep enough in depth (repetitive statement) how everyone would feel around said person and what they would think. And I want other ideas besides OK lock this freak up too.
IDK both these things I am really umm longing for better material

The 5 Funniest Guys on Television

This list is in order.

1. Alec Baldwin

2. Charlie Sheen

3. Jim Parsons

4. Steve Carell

5. Jon Cryer

I find it amusing that the 2 funniest guys on television are also some of the most disgusting celebrities/human beings out there in Hollywood.

What has become very clear to me is …

that most likely college will not work out, so I need to focus on a special talent ability & move as high up the ladder as fast as possible with that skill.

With computers I have some leg room, but not much, and only slightly more with a higher education. That said with biology or my distant third passion psychology, it would be really hard to move anywhere in those fields without a lot more higher education =/.

It’s at this point in my life that I regret not really focusing in on any sports, if I could get my asthma under control, I believe their are several sports I could have been incredible in, but my guess is it is too late for all of that now. So I have something with computers, or somehow breaking out of my many, many, many hard shells and getting a shot at becoming an actor, otherwise I may just be screwed. I do not have many talents, and the ones I do have, well 40% of them involve a bed, and I do not wish to be a porn star, so LMAO =D

Athletes have it made, especially none Olympic athletes who get paid based on their name, and not entirely their skill, meaning Derek Jeter can be signed for a 22 million dollar contract, and they have to pay him that whether he hits the damn ball or not for that entire year. Which I find to be bullshit, but whatever.

Olympic athletes have to not only make a name for themselves, but maintain it, b/c a sponsor (which is how they make most their money) can drop them like a fly if they suck, but w/e most these Olympians are made for life as well.

The real question is, at what point does society (or just my father, haha) look past the fact you do not have a college education, and see you as a success. And is it based on the salary you have made for yourself, or other factors as well?

Maybe it is better to have not made any money, barely be making enough to sustain yourself, but maybe you have sacrificed your life to help hundreds or thousands or millions of people across the world. Would society not view you as successful then? and would they look past the fact I did not complete college?

I think how most the world gets caught up on the whole must complete college thing is bullshit, the world is changing and is not working how it used to. College is not the be all, end all, it’s just so hard when you have society as a whole, but especially your parents (or parent) believing so strongly that it is the be all, end all.

Too me college education while still important to me, is not as important as getting a career that makes me happy, where I look forward to go to work every day with a huge smile on my face.

Making a lot of money, enough to support myself and family, and treat them and myself to the luxuries of life, as well as give back to those less fortunate is what is most important, and IDC how I get there, as long as I get there, and to me college isn’t necessary in most the paths, and well I wish it wasn’t necessary for all the paths, and maybe one day it will not be.

Certain jobs should always require a high college degree, teaching being one of them, for most subjects. That said as for most other jobs, it should all be skill based, and I do not think the employer should even look at the academic history of the person they are looking to hire.

I could go on forever about this (shocking right, haha), but to sum this all up, I will just say I think it is BULLSHIT (that’s putting it kindly) that in many ways, in many cases, I am unable to be successful for 2 reasons. The fact I do not have money to get any of my ideas started and off the ground (yea a few work arounds for that, but let’s leave those out of the equation for now)

and the fact that I am surrounded by a TON of people that will never, ever let me live down not graduating from college with at least a bachelors degree. And that shit is doing so much additional damage to me, and holding me back so much further than I should be, but no-one could ever understand that, especially the people who are pushing so hard for my “success”  in their eyes.

If they just let me go for my success in my eyes years back, instead of pushing me towards shit I can’t do for multiple reasons, and shit that literally has almost killed me multiple times (me and school of any sort do not mix well, and we’ll leave it at that). Then who the fuck knows where I would be right now, definitely no-where near the bullshit life I am living right now. That said of course not everything wrong in my life can be blamed on others, but honestly about 80% of it easily can! =/

Top 15 Best Technology Hardware Companies

This list is not in order, but the first 3 I just love to death! This list is based on quality of the products they produce, as well as the support in which they back the products up. Not all companies on this list excel in both areas, but some do.

1. EVGA (amazing products & support, 1st best support ever experienced)

2. Corsair (stunning products, with extreme care/attention to detail, almost everything they make is near perfect, whether it be their ram, cases, psu’s, or water cooling products, just super high quality, and they are the 4th best support ever experienced, but are probably most people’s first best experience)

3. LG (amazing hardware, personally haven’t experienced their support, but heard great things, Life’s Good! and it really is if you use their products, and haha by now I must have like 7 things from them =)

4. Samsung (outstanding products/hardware in most areas, as for their support, IDK anything)

5. Asus (very solid products, especially their motherboards, their support could definitely be better though, but not so bad overall)

6. Bose (overpriced, but still EXTREMELY high quality products and a company with passion for audio, that is nice to see! also they are extremely helpful and offer friendly customer support, 2nd best support ever experienced)

7. Western Digital (most reliable hard drives IMO, and for a hard drive company, very good support, could be better though, but still above average)

8. MSI (super high quality products, IDK about their support though)

9. OCZ (for the most part, all their hardware is fantastic, and heard good things about their support too, own a few products from them, never needed support though. This is a young company, and when they first showed up, I thought their products were crap and wouldn’t go near them, but in the last 2 years, especially 6 months, they have become a company that puts out very high quality products that do push the boundaries of industry standards)

10. Sony (I have to put them on the list, easily 70% of all their products are just rock solid (think about how many things they manufacture too, so that’s pretty impressive, and well they are stubborn offering their support, but usually it turns out to be pretty good support in the end.

11. Sandisk (like the only flash memory I really would ever buy, such high quality & standards & passion about flash memory from them, also 3rd best support I ever experienced)

12. Apple (tricky company, mostly extremely solid products & high quality, as for their support, if you are willing to drag your stuff to your nearest Apple store & prior to that make an appointment and wait, then honestly I do have to say once you are their it really, really is a fantastic customer support experience. Most the Apple geniuses, really are pretty damn smart, I stress the most there, haha)

13. Intel (what else can be said, solid products, IDK about the support, but never had a bad CPU from them, and I have dealt with many CPUs from them. It may all be in my head, but I feel they innovate a hell of a lot more than AMD ever has, even though AMD was first to go 64bit, and possibly to go dual core as well, yet still I think only Intel is strongly pushing the industry forward. Maybe I am just a fan-boy though, who knows.)

14. NVidia (yea I am a fan-boy, but their graphics cards & chip-sets are just the greatest! as for support, that does not apply seeing how only third party companies would be offering their support for NVidia based products)

15. Logitech (IDK if I have ever seen a crap product from them, not sure, but then again I only tend to buy their high end stuff, and I am always incredibly impressed with it, mice, keyboards, webcams, speakers, gaming devices, you name it, they do it well! as for their support, I have had horrid experiences as well as mind blowing great experiences, sometimes within the same division, just calling on a different day or hour changes everything, so IDK what to say about their support. I have had this company go above and beyond the call of their normal responsibilities to their customer, and I have also had the most insane phone calls with them, were they were practically harassing me, but overall I still love this company.)

40 Must Have Free Apps for Windows + 5 Bonus Apps for XP only

This list is not in any particular order.

I will not be giving much detail about each product here, but I strongly encourage you to research them yourself on Google, or better yet just use the application, they are all amazing in their own right.

While this list is intended for windows users, both Mac & Linux users can use and benefit from a good number of the applications I mention below as well.

I am not responsible for any issues that appear from installing any of these applications, personally none of them have affected my system badly at all. I USE ALL THESE APPLICATIONS!

Please leave your recommendations for free software programs in the comments.

1. 7Zip (a lightweight, clean & simple zip/rar client, and unlike WinRAR it is free, and not trialware, this will do everything that will do, except repair broken archives, and how often do you need to do that?)

2. Revo Uninstaller (absolutely the best way to completely remove all traces of a program from your computer, and the only way really, unless you are very comfortable with regedit, and have lots of time on your hands)

3. CCleaner (you get 3 amazing products in this one application. #1 you get one of the best cleaners out there for unneeded internet & windows files w/ secure file deletion, and #2 you get an amazing registry error checker, and finally #3 you get a startup manager to block programs from starting with windows)

4. SpywareBlaster (using a very large and constantly updated database, this will basically immunize your browser from all known malicious websites)

5. Secunia PSI (scans your computer for all security vunerabitlies in your software, and tell you about the latest version of newly release software you have installed on your computer)

6. CNet TechTracker (if you have a free CNet account, this scans your computer to make sure most of the software on it is up to date, and will instantly provide you with a download link to the latest software. It keeps track and updates more software than Secunia PSI, but does not check for security vulnerbilities)

7. File Shredder (super secure file deletion software, including standards that surpass Deparment of Defense and NSA)

8. Skype (make super high quality audio and/or video phone calls to anyone in the world with a computer, and you can even make super cheap calls to landlines and cell phones as well)

9. Firefox 3.5 (the best web browser ever? yes IMO, everyone should be using it =)

10. Google Chrome (the 2nd best browser out there, if you said first I wouldn’t argue with you. This to date is still technically the faster browser on the market as well. Best feature is each tab is it’s on process, and dynamic tabs. Definitely worth checking this out, I use both Firefox and Chrome, mostly Firefox though. Chrome is great if you need to drag and drop and arrange multiple tabs everywhere on your screen. Firefox now does this too, but IDK let’s say it does so less elegantly than Chrome. Whenever I want multple windows open of a web browser, I use Chrome ONLY)

11. Picasa (Google’s image editing tool, I really love the interface, it has a lot to offer, and it is free, and Google makes it, so IT MUST BE GREAT! Also allows you to create and organize photo albums better than any other software I have ever used, and I use a lot, I am just not that into making and organizing photo albums, but if you are, you should download this now! Also you get online web albums and photo sharing if you have a google account, and who doesn’t?)

12. CPUZ (probably the best tool out there to get detailed information on the specs of your hardware inside your machine, well mostly just your CPU and memory, but still)

13. System Information for Windows (this application will tell you almost every detail about both the hardware and software installed in your system, it differs from CPUZ, but you will have to see why for yourself)

14. Syncback (an amazing folder syncronization tool, as well as great free backup software to schedule backups to other internel or external hard drives, or do it instantly with a touch of a button. This software is soooooo damn amazing, however it could use a user interface face lift, but OMG do I love it!)

15. Foxit Reader (a very fast and lightweight PDF reader, unlike adobe’s bloated piece of crap software, which has gotten better, but why bother?)

16. VLC (even though I am not a big fan of this software, there is no denying how powerful it is, it can play about 98% of all media file formats out there with no need to download and install extra codecs. Also they did clean up the look a lot more recently, which is good.)

17. Comodo Internet Security (very powerful easy to use firewall and antivirus software, FOR FREE! has a great user interface too, most firewalls do not)

18. PAINT.NET (an incredibly powerful and free image editing tool, complete with layers, it is comparable to GIMP and Photoshop on many levels, and well overall I just prefer it)

19. JDISK Report (this application will scan your hard disks, and tell you what files & folders are taking up the most space on your system. It does it with nice graphs too, great to have if you are running out of room, or want to remove junk from your system)

20. uTorrent (the best torrent client IMO, fast, lightweight, plenty of customization if needed)

21. Lightbox Free Image Editior (extremely powerful, yet simple, and best of all, IT IS FREE! as many features as this small piece of software has, what is probably the best thing is it’s easy not threatening user interface)

22. HDD Health (a very simple and clean application to report the health of your hard drives, others out there as well, but they are more complex and heavy on the system resources. This will also take advantage of the S.M.A.R.T capabilities of your drive, to let you know it is failing before it fails.)

23. Spybot Search and Destroy (still probably the best free antispyware software out there, much lighter on system resources as now as well)

24. SUPER Video Converter (this free video converter software will convert any media file to any other media file type, and I really do mean ANY audio or video file. Now the quality ranges from amazing results, to extremely crappy results, but hey it is free and supports formats not even paid for video applications do, such as .FLV)

25. SuperAntiSpyware Free Edition (OK so if there was any free antispyware software out there to beat Spybot, it would be this. Sadly neither one of them find everything, but since this is light on system resources as well, I say use both)

26. TrueCrypt (simply put, the best encryption software out there, not only for free, but for under $200 as well. You can hide files, folders, as well as password protect them, but that is only the beginning)

27. FireTune (OK if this is used right, it is INCREDIBLE! This little application will automatically fine tune Firefox for optimal settings. It has been said, and well it definitely feels that way to me, that if FireTune is used on a fast PC with a fast connection, then Firefox 3.5 speeds will greatly surpass Chrome in every test)

28. Game Booster (super lightweight application that will temporarily turn off all running unnecessary processes to boost gaming performance by upwards of 40% for some systems)

29. Audacity (a very useful and extremely powerful audio editor. This also has multi-track recording, quite frankly it is all the software one needs IMO to record podcasts or even make an audio CD)

30. Exact Audio Copy (the amount of work the developer put into this application is ridiculous, but I wouldn’t expect anything less from a true audiophile. This is the only software that will make an “exact audio copy” of the information on a music CD)

31. AVG Free Virus Scanner (amazing results in terms of what it finds and has the ability to actually remove it too, and the fact it is free, but I feel as if it definitely slows down my computer. That said one should realize this finds and REMOVES stuff that paid for virus scanners do not)

32. Handbrake (a more professional and powerful video converter application. This will take almost any video format, including .VOB and .FLV files, and convert it to a gorgeous high quality H.264 MP4 file. Well .FLV will be as gorgeous as it can possibly get, your original source is in a super compressed format)

33. RealPlayer SP (12.0) (OK I know everyone hates RealPlayer, but I never hated it. It uses a hell of a lot less system resources now too, also IDK but to me it sounds like I get the best audio quality playback with this over winamp, itunes, WMP, etc as well. But the #1 reason to get this may be the ability to download embedded media files on websites, ranging from .mp4, .wmv. and even .flv)

34. Hulu Desktop (watch television shows old and new from many of the major TV networks in fantastic quality, for free!)

35. LimeWire (by far the best P2P application out there & that is all I will say. I do not encourage piracy, this can be used for good as well. For legal music downloads I ONLY recommend Amazon’s MP3 store =)

36. AC3Filter (allows you to play back AC3 & DTS audio tracks, as well as up-mix stereo tracks into 6 channel audio, for those without Dolby Pro Logic II or a creative sound card that does that for you most the time. This is good to have if you find yourself playing a lot of high quality video files, with this you are almost guaranteed you will be able to get the audio track to play as well)

37. OpenOffice (for those that need a productivity suite, and do not need all the features Microsoft has to offer, or the price tag, this is a powerful free productivity suite)

38. GIMP 2 (an extremely powerful image creation and editing tool, the poor mans Adobe Photoshop, but don’t let the price-tag fool you, this can do almost everything Photoshop can do, + more)

39. FLV Player (yes that is all the software does, but it is beyond lightweight, so it can’t hurt to have it, especially if you do not wish to install RealPlayer or VLC)

40. iTunes (I put this on the list mostly as a podcast finder and aggregator, that said I think it makes an above average media manager too, and a decent program to play your audio files. Also I personally love it because how else would I find applications for my sexy and amazing iPod touch!)

OK THESE APPLICATIONS ARE FOR WINDOWS XP HOME AND PROFESSIONAL USERS ONLY!

41. Unlocker 1.88 (ever have an error message saying “can not delete file, file in use”? well that’s where this application comes in, just right click the file, hit unlocker, you can see all applications that have control over it, and force it to “unlock” the file, then you can delete it. DYING for them to release a new version compatible with Windows 7)

42. TweakUI (part of Microsoft power tools, this utility lets you change many settings in windows for increased performance & productivity. Hell I would just download all the Power Toys for Windows XP)

43. Remove on Reboot (this is a shell extension for windows, basically O/S integration, anyway for really, really stubborn files that won’t go away, this application will remove it on the next reboot, and delete it before windows loads. Sadly they have not updated the software and there is no working version for Windows 7.)

44. Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer 2.1 (this will tell you about all security holes Microsoft sees in your system, it does much more than Windows Update can do alone, but the downside is Microsoft does not know about all of the security holes in their own O/S, neither does Apple though, but yea, better to have this though than not having it at all)

45. Windows Search 4.0 (a lighter weight version of Google Desktop, I really enjoy this, I know Macs have had this feature forever, but IDC. When I had XP, I use dthe search bar probably 100x a day. This functionality is built into Windows 7, so I am still using it constantly)
